Welcome to Untitled Issue 02

The most interesting questions rarely have simple answers.
Who wins our attention? What fuels our imagination? And what does it mean to be a creator today?
Welcome to the second issue of Untitled: the magazine for the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities. A place to pause, to question and, we hope, to see the world a little differently.
This issue explores how we think, create and belong at a time when attention is divided, new technologies are reshaping how we imagine, and ideas of authorship are becoming more fluid. It feels timely to ask what makes us distinctly human, and what new possibilities are starting to emerge.
When we launched this magazine, Untitled was a working title that, despite much debate, stubbornly refused to be replaced. Several months on it feels more fitting than ever. In a world changing at extraordinary speed, there is value in resisting the urge to define everything too quickly. The most interesting questions rarely have simple answers, and the humanities thrive on curiosity, dialogue and challenging accepted ideas.
These conversations are at the heart of the Schwarzman Centre. Inside, you’ll find researchers, artists, performers and thinkers continually interrogating, deconstructing and reimagining who we are and what matters — and why.
We invite you to be part of this exploration, and we hope Untitled sparks curiosity, prompts reflection and inspires discussions that continue long after you’ve turned the page.
