Wall-to-wall inspiration

Whether in whispers or debates, our libraries, collections, and galleries
offer the curious a place to wonder out loud.

The Bodleian Humanities Library

The Bodleian Humanities Library holds 130,000 books, music scores, CDs, and DVDs – offering staff and students a comfortable space to listen, read, study, seek out services and resources, and, of course, contemplate humanity’s biggest conundrums.

Galleries

With a white-box exhibition space and informal galleries all across the Centre, wondering eyes are never far from inspiration. Look to our current programme to see which artists and cultural leaders are making our walls and spaces their own.

The Bate Collection

The Bate Collection is more than a cabinet of curiosities. Its collection of musical instruments is one of the world’s most extensive, and extraordinary. Featuring instruments from their medieval to present-day form, the celebrated collection can be studied, researched, and even played by scholars, students, makers, and musicians.
