A major new photographic exhibition by internationally acclaimed photographer Mary McCartney, exploring the living world of the Greek island of Delos.

Presented as part of Orbiting Orbital, the exhibition features a major new series of photographs that bring the island’s non-human inhabitants into focus. Shifting our attention from Delos’s celebrated ancient ruins to the plants and other forms of life that inhabit them, McCartney invites us to see the island not simply as a remnant of the past, but as a living ecosystem where history, nature and mythology converge.

Inspired by Delos’s ancient stories and its enduring cultural significance, the photographs offer a fresh perspective on our relationship with the natural world, asking us to look beyond the human and reconsider our place within a wider, interconnected living world.

Connecting Delos with Oxford, the exhibition forms part of Orbiting Orbital, an ambitious multidisciplinary project from Nitin Sawney, exploring our relationship with Earth and the value of our planet.
