Discover the story and creative collaboration behind Orbiting Orbital.

In 2024, Samantha Harvey’s novel Orbital won the Booker Prize. Nitin Sawhney was one of the judges that year, and as soon as he read the novel, he felt compelled to write music inspired by it.

Two years on, Orbiting Orbital arrives: a journey of deep collaboration between artists, academics, archaeologists and, of course, our precious Planet Earth. The sacred island of Delos, Greece - the mythological birthplace of Apollo, Artemis and light itself - has become a central part of that journey.

In this special talk, Professor Yadvinder Malhi leads a conversation with Samantha Harvey, Nitin Sawhney and World Human Forum founder Alexandra Mitsotaki, exploring their collaboration and the making of Orbiting Orbital.
