What does Hallyu mean for our future?

Professor Jieun Kiaer and Professor Kim Hyungsuk come together for an exploration of Hallyu’s extraordinary rise and what the Korean Wave can tell us about culture, creativity and human connection in a world increasingly shaped by AI.

Moving beyond K-pop and screen culture, they’ll explore the powerful mix of music, language, technology, fandom and communities that has propelled K-Culture around the world. As a new generation of AI natives becomes both creators and consumers, what happens next? Could AI transform how music and culture are created, translated and shared across borders?

With live piano woven through the conversation, journey through the story of the Korean Wave and imagine where it might take us next.

This talk is part of K-Flow: Riding the Korean Wave, a day-long celebration of Korean culture.
