Join acclaimed folk-singer and violinist Jackie Oates for a family singing workshop for ages 5-12. Come and learn to sing some beautiful folk songs in harmony. No previous experience required! Parents are welcome join in!

Jackie is an authentic and enchanting singer of English traditional songs, and a fine musician and songwriter. A central figure in English traditional music, Jackie is one of the country's best loved folk performers and has collaborated with many others, including The Imagined Village. Her eighth solo studio album, Gracious Wings, took flight in September 2022, receiving acclaim from the music press within and beyond the folk genre. Jackie has provided backing vocals and instrumentation to CBeebies Nick Cope's Popcast. Jackie is an experienced teacher and music therapist.

At the end of the workshop, all participants will be invited to join Jackie for a short pop-up performance on the Great Hall stage.
