What if theatre could change how you see the Earth?

Described by La Terrasse as “a scientific revolution in three acts”, The Terrestrial Trilogy, created by philosopher Bruno Latour and director Frédérique Aït-Touati, blends philosophy, theatre and scientific inquiry to invite audiences to see the Earth, and our place within it, differently.

Through three lecture-performances, the trilogy challenges familiar ways of understanding the terrestrial world. Inside searches for alternatives to the traditional image of Earth as a globe; Moving Earths asks us to encounter the Earth as moving and reactive; and Viral explores contagion, interconnected life and the complex relationships between human and non-human life.

The Trilogy finally arrives in the UK, bringing Latour and Aït-Touati’s ideas to the stage and using science, philosophy and performance to invite us to see the world around us in a new way.

Part of Planetary Health, a season exploring the relationship between human health and the health of the planet.
