A bold new work about memory, loneliness, and belonging by composers Jennifer Walshe and Philip Venables.

A Bronze Age druid warms herself by a fire of broken iPads.

Two boys play piano as a meteorite falls toward the dinosaurs.

A voice from 20 years ago crackles through a forgotten walkie-talkie.

Six performers move through shifting voices and timelines telling the kinds of stories we carry with us and need to share to let go.

Part music-theatre, part time-travel, part group therapy, The Alonetimes is by turns deeply moving and darkly funny.

Walshe and Venables are known for pushing the boundaries of music-theatre. In this new collaboration, they bring together their love of storytelling, voice, and collage, writing into and around each other’s work to explore what it means to move forward, and maybe feel a little less alone.

Join us for a performance that’s honest, unpredictable, and deeply human.

Part of Utopia Now!, a season exploring the role of the arts in making a better future possible.
