Join Katherine Rundell for an exploration of poet and preacher John Donne’s interpretations of the Psalms.

John Donne returned again and again to the Psalms in his poetry and sermons, finding in them a language for grief, longing, doubt and devotion. In this talk, author, biographer and Fellow of All Souls College Katherine Rundell will examine Donne’s engagement with these biblical texts, reading extracts from Donne's writings to illuminate his distinctive interpretations and their enduring influence on his work.

Part of Day of Psalms. Writer and artist Edmund de Waal curates a unique day celebrating the Psalms as songs of exile, diaspora, and devotion.
