An unapologetic, hot-flash-fuelled cabaret of provocative performances, jaw-dropping physical feats, and powerful acts of rebellion by a diverse crew of femmes and thems.

Featuring a world class lineup of circus, aerials, performance art and powerhouse vocals, Polytoxic bring you cabaret for a world on the brink, ready to blow minds and shift paradigms.

What is dangerous and who gets to decide? A woman who refuses to be quiet. A body that refuses to be controlled. A culture that refuses to be erased. A planet pushed beyond its limits.

Dangerous Goods refuses to separate the personal from the political, or the body from the planet. It asks what connects the fight for climate justice with the fight for bodily autonomy, liberation and freedom from systems built on extraction and control.

At the heart of the show is “The Work”: the work of surviving, of dismantling what no longer serves us, and of imagining what comes next. And what better place to do that work than together - in a room full of laughter and music, making enough noise to shake the walls, spill out into the streets and remind us that the world beyond the theatre is ours to change.

“Dangerous Goods is femme excellence. It is culturally diverse excellence. It is intersectional excellence. Artists at the top of their game making art on their terms and excelling.”
