A rare opportunity to hear Anoushka Shankar, one of the world’s most distinctive musicians, perform new material developed through her Cultural Fellowship at the Schwarzman Centre.

Created through research and creative collaborations in Oxford, the new work will be performed alongside specially orchestrated works from her acclaimed Chapter trilogy.

A singular, genre-defying artist and 13-time Grammy-nominated musician, Shankar has spent three decades pushing the boundaries of her craft. She began studying sitar and Indian classical music under the tutelage of her father, Pandit Ravi Shankar, developing an artistic language that has continued to cross musical traditions, genres and borders.

Her wide-ranging collaborations include Herbie Hancock, Patti Smith, Sting, Arooj Aftab, Jacob Collier, Nils Frahm, M.I.A. and her half-sister Norah Jones. In 2024, she received an Honorary Degree in Music from the University of Oxford.
