Music from across the centuries, in the hands of true chamber music masters.

For over fifty years, Takács Quartet has stood at the forefront of chamber music, receiving global acclaim for their innovative performances at the world’s most revered concert halls and collaborations with luminaries such as Philip Seymour Hoffman, Robert Pinsky and more.

The group pair classical cornerstones in Haydn's Quartet in G major Op.77 No. 1 & Brahms' Quartet in C minor Op.51 No. 1 with the contemporary voice of Carlos Simon, whose Warmth from Other Suns explores African-American migration & resilience. Professor Laura Tunbridge will provide musical insights into the concert programme and lead a conversation with the quartet as part of the event.

Part of A Very Short Introduction to Chamber Music series. A series of events curated with Professor Laura Tunbridge, celebrating the rich world of chamber music.

Classical music doesn't get much more life-enhancing than this
