Laura Hopkins is an award-winning set and costume designer, working throughout the UK and internationally in theatre, opera, dance and experimental performance.

Theatre designs include: Even These Things (Royal Exchange Theatre); Go with Your Heart (Tim Etchells/Vlatka Horvat, Ballet Basel) Legally Blonde (Open Air theatre); Rockets and Blue Lights (National Theatre); Dracula (Imitating the Dog); The Divide (EIF/Old Vic); Troilus & Cressida (The Wooster Group/RSC); Falstaff (ENO); Black Watch (NTS); The Golden Ass (Shakespeare’s Globe).

Awards include: UK Theatre Award for Best Design (Dracula); Critics’ Awards for Theatre in Scotland Award for Best Design (Lanark); TMA Awards for Best Design (Doctor Faustus and Mister Heracles).

She is an associate artist with Imitating the Dog theatre company and Duckie, Purveyors of Progressive Working Class Entertainment.

Since 2018 she has been developing her own politically engaged performance work combining formal experiment with popular entertainment.
