House of History

House of History is a 1996 Afghan documentary film directed and compiled by filmmaker Qadir Taheri.

The film serves as an important, stark historical record of the devastation of Afghanistan's capital and cultural heritage during the height of the Afghan Civil War.

This film will be followed by a conversation and presentation with Afghan Visual Arts and History (AVAH) collective member Barry Sadid who will discuss Afghan guerilla films and show additional excerpts from The Passage (Hossein Danesh, 1997).
