The Magdalen College Consort of Voices

The Magdalen College Consort of Voices has been the College’s second choir since September 2010 and has become widely recognised as one of Oxford’s premiere mixed choral ensembles. The Consort sings on Saturdays in Full Term. The Academical Clerks of the College Choir sing alongside sopranos from amongst the student body. Magdalen was the first choral foundation to offer women the opportunity to sing officially as part of the Chapel music programme. The Consort of Voices were honoured to perform at Lord Hague’s Admission as Chancellor in February 2025, and their very first commercial recording: an album of music inspired by Mary Magdalen from across the centuries, will be released in 2027.
