One Year On: Celebrating 12 months since our academic community moved in
This month marks one year since the academic community moved into the Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities, turning a newly completed building into a place of learning, creativity and collaboration.
Twelve months ago, the Schwarzman Centre opened its doors to academics and students from across the humanities. After years of planning and construction, its libraries, teaching rooms, offices and shared spaces began to fill with ideas and acvitity.
The past year has also seen the Centre bring academics and students together with writers, artists, performers, communities and audiences, creating new opportunities for performance, events, conversation and the exchange of ideas.
To mark the anniversary, we’re looking back at some of the Centre’s familiar spaces as they took shape, and at how they look today.
Thank you to everyone who has made the Schwarzman Centre their home over the past 12 months, and to everyone who has contributed to life at the Centre. As the Centre enters its second year, we look forward to building on everything that has taken shape so far.
